Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring the overall process and health of inventory processes. This position will be a key player in continuously improving the efficiency and accuracy of existing inventory processes.
Essential Functions: (Responsibilities, Tasks, Supervisory Needs)
- Drives efficient processing times on all received material and continually improves the processing time performance.
- Verifies aging of material in receiving and shipping locations and ensure accuracy of these materials.
- Eliminates errors that can impact performance against quality, budget and efficiency of department.
- Ensure 3-way inventory match between external and inventory systems
- Monitors accuracy of inventory data as well as EDI transmission for on time processing.
- Collaborates with Inventory control team to resolve errors and delays in order processing.
- Assist FSQA in processing system holds/releases with appropriate Quality Assurance approvals.
- Collaborates with 3rd party location to ensure inventory accuracy in chilled and frozen warehousing.
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $22.12 to $26.44.

Required Qualifications: (Education, Years of Experience, Certifications)
- A minimum of three years of related experience
- Associate’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field; or equivalent combinations of education and years of experience
Preferred Education & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field; or equivalent combinations of education and years of experience
- Experience monitoring performance inventory data
- Experience verifying aging of materials in receiving and shipping locations
- Experience with WM systems
- Experience with perishable products
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge
- Knowledge of inventory management practices, including receiving, aging, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with inventory systems, EDI processes, and warehouse workflows.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Effective problemsolving skills to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Proficient in inventory software, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Clear communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external warehouse partners.
Abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced operational environment.
- Ability to interpret inventory reports and follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
Work environment:
Work is performed in both office and operational settings. Duties include periods of computer and keyboard use, as well as regular movement between buildings and through production areas. The role may require exposure to noise, outdoor elements, and nontemperaturecontrolled environments. Accessing production spaces may involve climbing stairs and navigating active work areas.
Work Ability Requirements:
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception.
