Job Description Summary

Under the direction of management, exercises self-starter responsibility for execution of department strategies and objectives.  This position will assist with planning and implementing SAP ERP system and specialize in warehouse and inventory control.

Essential Functions

• Manage and maintain SAP inventory records for on-site and third-party warehouse stock 
• Track inbound/outbound inventory and reconcile physical counts with system data 
• Set reorder points and forecast demand using seasonal trends and usage patterns 
• Generate and interpret inventory reports to support sales, procurement, and logistics 
• Implement and maintain SAP SD/MM inventory processes, ensuring alignment with sales, production, and purchasing 
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and perform audits for accuracy 
• Train users on SAP inventory functions and support system upgrades 
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations 
• Attention to detail: Essential for accurate inventory counts, reconciliations, and audits 
• Process improvement: Experience optimizing inventory processes and reducing manual work 
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with sales, procurement, logistics, and IT teams
• Warehouse Operations: Hands-on experience in inventory control, put away/picking strategies, and stock transfer processes 
• Supply Chain Awareness: Understanding of how warehouse data integrates with SAP MM, SD, and logistics modules for end-to-end supply chain visibility
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot warehouse process issues and optimize workflows 
• Analytical Thinking: Use of data to improve inventory accuracy, reduce picking errors, and enhance throughput 
• Communication: Clear communication with warehouse staff, IT, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations 
• Planning & Scheduling: Create and maintain master production schedules (MPS), rough cut capacity plans (RCCP), and detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and capacity
• MRP Execution: Run and interpret Material Requirements Planning to determine material needs, generate purchase and production orders, and handle exceptions 
• Capacity Planning: Assess resource availability (labor, equipment) and resolve bottlenecks
• Master Data Management: Maintain accurate planning data (BOMs, routings, work centers, safety stock, lead times) in SAP 
• Exception Handling: Address MRP exceptions, run exception-based MRP, and adjust schedules as needed

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications.  Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required.  This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education: High School Diploma and above

Experience: Proficient in SAP ERP system use. Planning, warehousing, and inventory function mostly.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Working Conditions

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Ability to work 40 per week, including weekends and holiday work.   

Travel: Domestic travel and international possible

Work Environment: Balanced between office and manufacturing areas.
