Inventory Control Specialist

Hourly Rate: $24-$26/hour + Monthly incentive bonus after 90 days of employment.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing inventory in the warehouse to ensure the warehouse maintains an acceptable level of organization, accuracy and cleanliness.

Responsibilities: Duties

• Responsible for efficient and accurate daily cycle counts including immediate counts using RF machinery;
• Maintains and cleans up old bin locations;
• Responsible for condensing multiple locations as much as possible;
• Responsible for maintaining the "Hot Shelves" daily;
• Responsible for the writing and putting away of all customer returns in the branch following Acme's established procedures;

When inventory discrepancies are found, research is conducted to figure out where the error occurred. If the error is found, you are responsible for providing coaching to the employees who committed the error.

• Provides input to management regarding process improvements and/or inventory programs ;
• If all tasks are completed in the working day, proactively help other areas of the warehouse including picking, put away, receiving, etc.;
• Responsible for safely operating a forklift to move product such as load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift or other power equipment as required;
• Assists with maintaining the warehouse in an orderly and clean state, and complies with all company safety procedures;
• Continues any relevant RF training or operations training as assigned by the Company;
• Follows the directive of the Warehouse Manager, Branch Manager and performs other job duties as assigned.

Skills: Technical Qualifications/Experience

• A minimum of one year experience within Acme with strong product knowledge of Acme's inventory;
• Basic knowledge of Solar Eclipse (POS) System, Microsoft Office Products, and Phocas Software.
• Basic knowledge with using RF devices;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Proven ability to manage priorities, problem solve and work through conflicting timelines.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records;
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees at all levels within the Company, as well as customers, with a flexible, adaptable, customer service oriented style;
• Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• The employee is regularly required to sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel a computer mouse or other computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects; stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
• May be required to move or traverse considerable distances in the facility during the course of a workday;
• Must have the physical abilities to perform essential warehouse tasks;
• Must have good physical fitness with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to a height of 3-4 feet and load product into trucks;
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time;
• Ability to ascend/descend a ladder as needed;
• Ability to safely operate a dolly, pallet jack and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies;
• Must be able to safely and efficiently work within a warehouse environment.
