Inventory Control Specialist
Pay rate: $18.00
Hours: Monday - Friday. 7:00am – 3:30pm
A local manufacturing company in Oriskany, NY is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity offering consistent hours and weekly pay
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records within Deacom ERP software
- Enter and verify inventory data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Close production jobs and work orders daily
- Support inventory transfers between locations to ensure production readiness
- Record and reconcile inventory transactions for third-party tolling companies
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and shortages
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover, and key metrics
- Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to maintain smooth inventory flow
- Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of inventory management experience (including cycle counting and root cause analysis)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with ERP systems (Deacom preferred)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and understand English
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations and adjustments
