Inventory Control Specialist

Responsible for management and control of all inventory products at multiple locations and ensures that all processes and procedures surrounding inventory control are properly executed.

Essential Functions

Establishes, reviews and maintains appropriate levels for all stock productsOrders all stock products for locationEstablishes cycle counting schedule and performs cycle counts of stock materialWorks to find root cause of cycle count variances and to establish methods to keep problems from reoccurringCoordinates transfer of stock material between multiple locationsInspects and determines status of material returned by customersAssists in coordinating vendor returns as neededAssists with semi-annual physical inventory and works to investigate root cause of variancesMaintains a working knowledge of all stock products and their pricing programsIdentifies and manages surplus and obsolete inventoryProactively works to reduce and manage this inventoryOther duties that may need to be assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 2 years operational staff position experienceMicrosoft Office experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must possess good interpersonal and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredEffective time management skillsExperience with Comsense preferredKnowledge of the door and hardware industry a plus

Physical DemandsThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position will also work in a warehouse environment.
