At Ingersoll Rand, our Industrial Technologies & Services (ITS) business powers essential industries through advanced solutions in air, gas, fluid, and material handling. Built on a legacy of reliability, performance, and impact, we are seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor with a proven track record in mechanical and assembly-based equipment manufacturing, ready to own inventory integrity and drive operational excellence.

This is a high-impact, hands-on supervisory role at the center of our operations. Youll oversee daily inventory activities, enforce standard work, and drive SAP transactional discipline while ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Accuracy, accountability, and consistency start with you.

As the steward of inventory accuracy, youll supervise cycle count programs, discrepancy investigations, and drive root cause and corrective action to resolution. Youll set clear expectations, coach, and guide inventory personnel, and hold the team to high performance standards. Audit readiness, control adherence, and clear KPI reporting are core to your mission.

### Responsibilities

  • Lead inventory control activities across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and MRO inventory.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Apply IR Excellence (IRX) and continuous improvement principles to improve material flow and efficiency.
  • Develop, enhance, and standardize inventory control processes to improve accuracy and compliance across manufacturing operations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, and Shipping.
  • Analyze inventory KPIs, including turns, shortages, and variances.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and EHS standards.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members while fostering accountability and engagement.

### Requirements

  • Associates degree.
  • 4 years of experience in inventory control/materials management in a manufacturing setting.
  • 3 years of experience with inventory control audits.
  • 2 years experience supervising and leading team members who are direct reports.
  • 2 years demonstrated experience working in ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.

### Core Competencies

  • Supervisory leadership with a self-directed, team-focused approach.
  • Inventory control, material management, and inventory accuracy governance.
  • Process development, standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Data analysis, root cause investigation, and problem resolution.
  • Strong command of inventory control methodologies, including cycle counting, ABC classification, and FIFO/LIFO principles.
  • Proactive communicator skilled in cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

### Preferences

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain, business operations, or a related field.
  • SAP expertise in IM, MM, and/or WM.

### Travel & Work Arrangements This position will be based at our Alsip, IL location with minimal anticipated travel.

### Pay Range The pay range for this role is $85,000 - $115,000. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidates skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and geographic location.
