POSITION: Inventory Control Supervisor 
SHIFT:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (OT as required)
PAY RATE:
$28.00 - $31.00+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefit Package

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily inventory control operations to ensure accurate material handling, storage, and inventory transactions while supporting production and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Inventory Control & Material Management

  • Oversee receiving, filing, put-away, storage, and picking processes.
  • Ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, and stored.
  • Coordinate material movement between locations, warehouses, and production areas.
  • Maintain FIFO, lot control, and material traceability requirements.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and compliant storage areas.

Inventory Accuracy & Transactions

  • Perform and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and inventory sweeps.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical inventories.
  • Ensure accurate transaction posting for receipts, issues, adjustments, and transfers in ERP system.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and scrap/drop reporting.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the Minnkota Windows Game Changer definition.
  • Engage in team-based lean and continuous improvement activities to improve workflows and efficiency.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule inventory control and material handling employees.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure adherence to procedures and safety standards.
  • Track and report on employee productivity, quality, and accuracy.
  • Provide coaching, training, and corrective action as needed.
  • Support cross-training and employee development initiatives.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, shipping, and finance teams.
  • Communicate inventory constraints, shortages, and risks to key stakeholders.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to inventory control procedures.

General Responsibilities

  • Enforce all safety policies within inventory and warehouse areas.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of inventory control or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
