Inventory Controller

RESPONSIBILITY:

Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and control of all inventory by maintaining robust processes, enforcing policies, reconciling physical and system inventory. This role is responsible for minimizing discrepancies, supporting operational execution, and safeguarding company assets through effective inventory control practices.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintain and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to ensure system and physical inventory accuracy in a manufacturing environment
  • Perform and oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor inventory transactions to ensure proper recording and compliance with procedures
  • Partner with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate receiving, storage, and movement of inventory
  • Prepare and analyze inventory reports including adjustments, variances, and accuracy metrics
  • Ensure timely and accurate system updates related to inventory movements
  • Support audits (internal and external) by providing documentation and ensuring compliance
  • Train team members on inventory control procedures and system usage
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related role, but willing to take a recent college graduate with a degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
