Position Requirements
Experience & Education: 2+ years of inventory management, manufacturing, or steel industry experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite; experience with AS400, IntelliTrans, CarrierPoint, Power BI, and AI-driven tools preferred.
Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical capabilities, and effective problem-solving skills.
Work Environment & Availability: Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Tracking & Auditing: Monitor, analyze, and maintain accuracy of in-process and finished product inventory; perform cycle counts, track storage facility inventory, monitor inventory on hold, and investigate missing coils or discrepancies.
Shipping & Reporting: Generate daily shipping reports, manage claims, and streamline overall Shipping Department operations.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between Operations, Sales, Planning, and Shipping teams to drive continuous system and process improvements.
Safety Leadership: Initiate, lead, and uphold company safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking a qualified Inventory Coordinator in Blytheville, AR to monitor, analyze, and maintain the accuracy of in-process and finished steel product inventory while driving system and process improvements. Ideal candidates must possess at least two years of inventory or steel manufacturing experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
