U.S. Water is a fast paced and rapidly expanding company headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida with a current staff of over 950 employees in twenty states.PurposeThe Inventory Coordinator is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day accuracy of inventory across the organization's operating units. The role reports centrally but is seconded out: the person provides inventory services to whichever business units need support, including system transactions, ordering, physical counts, and part tagging and labeling, and checks that each unit meets minimum inventory-control standards. The Coordinator works independently, often on the road or remotely, so the role needs someone who is self-directed and manages their own schedule and workload.Key ResponsibilitiesTag, label, and barcode inventory so that all inventory items are barcoded and bin (location) coded.Enter and maintain part setups in UBM, including all values set on each part.Maintain and update all pricing in UBM.Maintain and update vendor pricing.Monitor stock against MIN/MAX levels, flag shortages and overstock, and update MIN/MAX values as agreed with the territory.Perform physical inventories and cycle counts at each site correctly and on schedule, and research and reconcile count variances.Process inventory transactions in UBM accurately and promptly, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.Receive incoming stock and match deliveries to purchase orders and packing slips, resolving discrepancies with vendors.Maintain and update inventory item details in UBM.Create and process purchase orders and place stock orders, and follow up with vendors on delivery status.Help site personnel with warehouse and inventory practices and the use of UBM for inventory and purchasing.Carry out all of the above in coordination with the relevant territory, so decisions such as MIN/MAX settings, part values, and item detail updates meet that territory's needs.Location and CoverageThis position is based in the Tampa/Bradenton area. The Inventory Coordinator provides on-site coverage for three facilities in Tampa (TSC, SEP Tampa, and CPC Tampa) and one in Bradenton (EMMI), and travels regularly between these sites. The role also supports CPC Jacksonville and SEP Pompano Beach. That support is provided remotely, with periodic travel to those locations, typically involving 1 to 2 night stays, to assist on site and to carry out physical inventory and audit work.Audit and AssuranceIndependently of day-to-day inventory work, the Inventory Coordinator verifies that supported units comply with minimum inventory-control standards: items are barcoded, inventory is located to bins, the unit has the ability to cycle count, and cycle counts are actually being performed. The Coordinator reports findings and gaps to management.Qualifications and Experience2+ years of hands-on experience in inventory control, warehouse, parts counter, or stockroom work.Strong computer skills: fast, accurate data entry, solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and comfort learning new software and using handheld barcode scanners.Familiarity with inventory/ERP systems and barcode-based location tracking. Microsoft Business Central experience is a plus.Working knowledge of cycle-count and physical-inventory methods.Experience entering purchase orders and working with vendors.Strong attention to detail and comfort working across multiple sites and units.Self-motivated and organized; able to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision, plan their own schedule, and follow through without day-to-day oversight.Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation for regular travel between sites, with periodic trips to Jacksonville and Pompano Beach.Familiarity with pumps, controls, piping, or water/wastewater parts is a plus.Able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, and climb ladders while counting, tagging, and labeling stock.Compensation and Benefits: Pay is commensurate with experience and market-reflective. US Water/USW Utility Group offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long-term disability, paid time off, holiday pay and 401(k) with company match.US Water/USW Utility Group offers competitive wages and benefits and is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
