FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Experience Required: Warehouse or material handling experience preferred. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. CPR/AED/First Aid Certification and Environmental Oil Spill Training . NIMS (National Incident Management System) ICS -100 and FEMA IS -700 training . Possession and retention of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the State of Delaware. Must pass pre -employment testing for substance abuse, criminal background, and motor vehicle driver's license history. Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with City policy. Minimum Education Requirements: High school diploma Direct Supervisor: Inventory Supervisor Supervisory Responsibility: None Primary Work Location: Warehouse Job Summary : The Inventory Coordinator provides support to the Inventory Supervisor through warehouse operations, purchasing processes, and inventory control for both the Electric and Public Works Departments. This role includes generating requisitions for approval, issuing hardware from inventory, ensuring proper charges in the inventory system, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. The role requires strong technical skills, effective communication and collaboration, proper resource utilization, sound decision -making, and personal accountability. Supervision Received: Work is performed under the general supervision of the Inventory Supervisor. Essential Job Functions: An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties: Material Receiving & Warehouse Support • Assists in receiving, signing for, and inspecting incoming materials. • Operates forklifts and hand jacks after training/certification. • Helps maintain clean, organized warehouse and yard area . • Pulls materials and hardware from stock for field crews. Basic Electric & Public Works Support Tasks • Assists with labeling and staging new transformers. • Performs basic data entry for transformer and meter records. • Helps coordinate tool repairs, rubber goods testing logistics, and equipment returns. • Assists in staging materials for Electric and Public Works crews. Inventory Processing & Documentation • Enters packing slip data and receiving information into inventory system. • Assists with inventory spot checks, quarterly counts, and restocking. • Prepares requisitions and supporting documentation for review. • Maintains files and recordkeeping for inventory transactions. • Effective Date: July 2026 P a g e - 2 City of Milford Inventory Coordinator Pay Grade: 7 Tool, Equipment & Yard Support • Helps organize tools, equipment, transformers, and hardware. • Assists in preparing items for repair, testing, or return. • Supports general yard maintenance and material staging. Environmental & Safety Support • Assists with maintaining the MSDS book and safety documentation. • Helps with disposal preparation of scrap materials (metal, wood, sweepings). • Follows all safety rules and equipment procedures. Additional Duties • Perform other related tasks as assigned Emergency Operations • May be required to support material requests after -hour emergencies .
