Position Summary
A growing distribution and warehouse operation in the Douglasville/Lithia Springs area is seeking an experienced Inventory Cycle Counter to join its team.
We are seeking dependable professionals with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive team-player attitude. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, investigating discrepancies, and supporting overall warehouse operations.
Candidates must possess strong warehouse inventory experience, excellent attendance, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with leadership and team members.
Candidates must have 4-5+ years of stable, verifiable inventory control experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and warehouse inventory.
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems to process inventory transactions and maintain inventory accuracy.
Research and locate misplaced or misclassified inventory throughout the warehouse.
Identify inventory discrepancies and report findings to leadership daily.
Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to prevent future discrepancies.
Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
Assist with order picking and other warehouse activities as needed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout warehouse operations.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with leadership and warehouse teams.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
4-5+ years of stable, verifiable inventory control experience
Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
Strong WMS and ERP experience required
Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attendance and dependability required
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
Frequently lift up to 25 pounds
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Stand, walk, and move throughout a warehouse for extended periods
Bend, squat, crouch, reach, and climb steps as needed
Push and pull materials safely
Work on a computer and review inventory documentation throughout the day
Work Environment
Work conditions may include:
Seasonal hot and cold temperatures
Warehouse noise, dust, humidity, and odors
Exposure to warehouse equipment and mechanical hazards
Overtime may be required based on business needs
Strict adherence to all safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
