This role will oversee inventory planning, allocation, and replenishment across wholesale accounts, distribution centers, and retail partners to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.

Description
- Develop and maintain demand forecasting models in Microsoft Excel from scratch, utilizing historical sales data, seasonality trends, customer orders, promotions, and growth assumptions.
- Create SKU-level, customer-level, and channel-level forecasts to support inventory and purchasing decisions.
- Own inventory planning processes, balancing service levels, inventory turns, and working capital objectives.
- Analyze sales performance, inventory health, stock-outs, overstock situations, and forecast accuracy.
- Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting reviews with Sales and Leadership teams.
- Generate purchasing recommendations and replenishment plans based on forecasted demand and inventory targets.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
- Manage wholesale order allocation during periods of constrained inventory.
- Develop reporting dashboards and planning tools within Excel to improve visibility into inventory and sales trends.
- Establish and continuously improve inventory processes, metrics, and planning methodologies as the business scales.
- Monitor key KPIs including fill rate, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, weeks of supply, and service levels.
- Support annual budgeting and sales planning processes through data-driven forecasting and scenario modeling.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, supply chain, wholesale operations, or related functions.
- Demonstrated experience building demand forecasting models from scratch in Microsoft Excel.
- Advanced Excel skills including:
- Pivot Tables
- Power Query
- INDEX/MATCH and XLOOKUP
- SUMIFS
- Forecasting and trend analysis
- Scenario modeling
- Data visualization and dashboard creation
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, replenishment planning, and demand forecasting methodologies.
- Experience supporting wholesale, consumer products, footwear, apparel, sporting goods, or retail businesses.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to leadership teams.
