Position Overview
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for maintaining a complete, up-to-date and accurate physical inventory and data-based inventory. Responsible for overseeing the inventory control department as well as Shipping/Receiving Ringgold Distribution Lead responsibilities on a needed basis. Every Saturday, this individual will be the primary Lead overseeing the Saturday Soft Surface processes.
Essential Functions:
Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility
Will own the OTIF investigation for Plant 47 weekly
Manage RDC freight to conform to OTIF requirements
Will serve as the lead in other areas as needed
Must help coordinate and process all returns coming to plant 47 and oversee the Vinyl return Process.
Must be able to understand and advise QC Table on all eelated QC functions.
Must help compile, complete and distribute daily inventory reports
Must update the inventory file by entering rebook information from cut tables, QC and returns as necessary
Must clear or correct all errors on "ICTL" and "ACTL" computer screens
Must be able to answer questions concerning inventory
Must maintain supplies needed by the department
Must prepare a schedule and supplies for physical inventory
Must be able to reconcile physical inventory
Must be responsible for weekly NBAL, CUTO and HELD reports
Must check scan errors on "KCTL" and "KROL"
Must communicate problems that are out of the lead's control to the supervisor or superintendent
Must have unidentified rolls identified and added to inventory files
Must be able to key style changes or grade changes on finished goods
Must maintain files according to Records Retention policies on reports, forms, rebooks, etc.
Must ensure inventory records are accurate
Must adhere to normal work schedule, starting and stopping times and company attendance/tardiness policy.
Must be able to work necessary overtime
Must we able to perform all inventory Functions to assist the Inventory Clerk as needed.
Must be able to dive and operate al Inventory Equipment to include Manlift, Scissor lift, Pole and Fork Lift and any other equipment needed to perform Job.
Must be able to work off the floor and at heights 30 to 35 feet above the floor.
Must be able to drive and travel to other facilities to complete the Inventory Task.
Knowledge/Skills:
Must be able to read, comprehend and key data
Must be able to independently solve problems and make decisions
Must communicate effectively in person or in writing (email) with others inside and outside of the department
Must be able to work without direct supervision and be a self-starter
Must possess decision making skills, use independent judgment, and be able to give clear instructions
Must have good knowledge of shipping and receiving
Must have high school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read computer reports
Must be able to conduct conversations and relay information clearly and accurately
Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours per day
Must be able to use a computer keyboard
Must be able to physically conduct inventory if assistance is needed
Must be able to bend and stretch up to 20 times per day
Must be able to lift or move small rolls of carpet if necessary
Must be able to use Dennison gun
Safety/Training Requirements:
Must complete required SMS training.
Must adhere to all corporate and facility safety rules including use of proper PPE for specific job tasks.
