What You'll Do!

The Inventory Lead will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits, implementing efficient storage and stocking processes, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational and leadership skills, strong attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of cannabis products and their associated requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective inventory management procedures for cannabis products.
  • Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, stocking, and recording of products.
  • Conduct routine inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure proper inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity and freshness of cannabis products.
  • Collaborate with compliance team to ensure adherence to all state regulations pertaining to inventory control.
  • Generate various inventory reports, including stock levels, usage patterns, and trends.
  • Resolve inventory-related issues in a timely and efficient manner and propose solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, new cannabis products, and regulations to maintain compliance and offer innovative inventory management strategies.

Education & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and current market trends.
  • In-depth understanding of state regulations and compliance requirements for cannabis inventory control.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and systems; experience with seed-to-sale tracking software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by business needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to navigate small spaces and reach items on high shelves.
  • Visual acuity to identify product details and assist customers with selection.
  • Able to handle and operate equipment such as cash registers and scales.
  • Comfortable working with various cannabis products and handling related tools and equipment.
