About the Opportunity
We are recruiting for a leading manufacturer and distributor within the automotive services industry that is seeking a Chemical Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to join its growing operations team.
This position plays a critical role in managing inventory, logistics coordination, regulatory compliance, and operational reporting for a nationwide chemical distribution network. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in inventory management, SAP, and transportation compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits across multiple warehouse locations and field inventories.
Manage inventory levels and support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities.
Process and approve chemical orders.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and system errors.
Ensure inventory records remain accurate and up to date.
Monitor and close inventory-related service tickets in a timely manner.
Maintain warehouse compliance and inventory control procedures.
Logistics & Vendor Coordination
Process subcontractor deliveries and bills of lading (BOLs).
Issue and manage purchase orders.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors regarding deliveries, pricing, and invoicing.
Assist with onboarding and training subcontractors on required procedures and documentation.
SAP & Data Management
Maintain inventory, pricing, and product master data within SAP.
Process inventory transfers, receiving transactions, and monthly consumption reporting.
Support customer inventory management and billing accuracy.
Maintain contracts, pricing structures, and inventory-related databases.
Coordinate warehouse setup and inventory location changes within SAP.
Compliance & Fleet Administration
Support DOT compliance initiatives and transportation-related regulatory requirements.
Coordinate random drug testing programs for drivers and transportation personnel.
Assist with fleet licensing, registration, and compliance documentation.
Schedule and track required compliance training.
Maintain records necessary to support transportation safety and regulatory compliance.
Reporting & Operational Support
Generate recurring inventory, logistics, and operational reports.
Analyze inventory and consumption trends.
Support customer reporting requirements and special projects.
Provide administrative and operational support to field teams as needed.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
Experience working with DOT compliance or transportation regulations.
Proficiency with SAP.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in chemical distribution, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
Knowledge of MRP processes.
Experience supporting fleet compliance programs.
Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and transportation compliance requirements.
Experience with inventory audits, cycle counting, and warehouse operations.
