The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location: Raritan, NJ
Shift: Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00pm
Hourly pay range: $24.00/hr.

What we're looking for
Education:
Experience:
1-2+ years of experience in material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, or inventory replenishment.
Experience managing and handling compressed gas cylinders preferred.
Laboratory operations experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and material handling best practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using various software systems required.
SAP experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using computers
Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred
Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Power BI, and other inventory management systems
Additional Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Previous experience in a GMP-regulated facility strongly desired
Strong communication skills and presentation skills

Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Order Fulfillment: Process customer requests for materials, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Inventory Management: Oversee lab inventory, manage shipment requests (receiving and shipping), maintain inventory records, and track metrics.
Gas Cylinder Management: Manage the receipt, storage, distribution, tracking, and replenishment of compressed gas cylinders. Coordinate cylinder deliveries and returns, ensure proper labeling and storage, and maintain accurate records.
Daily Housekeeping: Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping activities to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Customer Service: Provide daily support to customers, ensuring clear communication regarding inventory levels, order status, gas cylinder availability, and issue resolution.
Purchasing Tasks: Manage purchasing activities using IM, Ariba, and SAP, including backorder tracking, order expediting, coordinating direct shipments, obtaining quotes, maintaining records, and resolving invoice and pricing discrepancies.
Chemical Storage: Store chemicals according to established safety guidelines and segregation requirements.
Inventory Inspection: Regularly inspect inventory for expired or soon-to-expire materials, ensuring proper removal and disposal according to site procedures.
Package Delivery: Deliver packages, track deliveries, and follow up on shipment status to ensure timely and accurate receipt.
Safety Compliance: Perform lifting and material handling tasks while adhering to all applicable safety regulations, procedures, and best practices for handling dry ice, chemicals, gases, and potentially hazardous materials.
Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate inventory, receiving, shipping, purchasing, and gas cylinder records to support operational excellence.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$45,000.00 - $72,450.00
Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
