Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Travel: Occasional (meetings, etc.)
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 base salary
Overview
We’re hiring an Inventory Manager to lead inventory control across manufacturing and warehouse operations, with a primary focus on verifying and continuously improving inventory accuracy. This role owns inventory processes end-to-end -from receiving through shipment and drives process improvement, controls discipline, and data accuracy across a high-SKU, high-value environment.
The Inventory Manager will lead and develop the Inventory Control team, partner cross-functionally with Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Quality, and Master Data, and ensure inventory compliance, audit readiness, and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Own inventory accuracy and integrity across manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring reliable inventory records and strong transaction discipline.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Inventory Control team, including hiring, training, performance management, and coaching.
- Design, implement, and maintain cycle count programs aligned with business needs and audit requirements.
- Lead annual physical inventories, reconciliation activities, and root?cause analysis of variances.
- Verify, review, and approve inventory adjustments prior to posting; drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Analyze inventory data and trends; create and present inventory accuracy, variance, and performance reports to leadership.
- Drive process improvements to strengthen inventory flow, controls, and accuracy from receiving through shipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory turns, utilization, excess/obsolete disposition, and SKU management.
- Partner closely with Master Data to maintain accurate ERP records and support inventory forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with inventory policies and procedures, including FIFO/FEFO, lot control, traceability, and disposals; coordinate with Quality on non?conforming inventory.
- Own month-end inventory reconciliation and analysis, including off-site or third-party locations.
- Train warehouse and operations personnel on inventory processes and best practices.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of inventory management experience in manufacturing and warehouse environments, including cycle counting and physical inventories.
- Proven experience supporting manufacturing andmulti-warehouse inventory operations, high-value inventory ($125MM+), and high-SKU environments (6,000+ SKUs).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP and WMS systems, including RF/barcode scanning.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory transactions, investigate variances, and improve accuracy.
- 2+ years of people management experience, with a proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting).
