Inventory Manager / Supply Planner

Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $42.25 $43.48/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Eastern Time
Duration: 6-month contract, potential for extension.

Overview

The Inventory Manager / Supply Planner is responsible for overseeing the deployment of finished goods to third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and maintaining accurate inventory records across all locations, including co-manufacturers, 3PL facilities, and direct-to-consumer operations.

This role manages inventory transactions, cycle counts, physical inventory, inventory reconciliation, and data analysis. The position also oversees aged and obsolete inventory, supports inventory reduction initiatives, and manages financial tracking related to obsolete inventory accruals.

Responsibilities

• Manage finished goods purchase order issuance and receiving processes.

• Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of daily inventory transactions within NetSuite.

• Partner with internal teams and external providers to improve inventory accuracy and visibility.

• Plan and monitor finished goods transfer orders and inventory rebalancing activities.

• Coordinate with Logistics to support timely and accurate product movement.

• Review inventory levels and identify potential shortages by location in partnership with the Lead Production Planner/Scheduler.

• Lead invoice reconciliation activities with Accounts Receivable.

• Support month-end and quarter-end inventory close processes.

• Ensure new item setups and Bills of Materials (BOMs) are created accurately in NetSuite.

• Manage inventory accrual processes.

• Oversee disposition of aged and obsolete products, including liquidation, donation, and destruction.

• Analyze aged inventory and develop actions to reduce obsolete finished goods and raw materials.

• Support cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliation.

Qualifications

• College degree or at least 2 years of related work experience.

• Experience with inventory management, supply planning, logistics, or a similar field.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize business-critical inventory issues.

• Results-oriented and process-driven approach.

• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.

• NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
