Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for an inventory specialist position at a company in New Milford CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The inventory specialist receives, stores and issues materials, and is also responsible for maintaining inventory records and compilation of stock reports.
The hours are 8:15 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $18 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies or adjust errors
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms or other areas
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling equipment
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Determine proper storage methods, identification and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities
Keeps record on the use and/or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects reporting any damage to supervisors
Follow clean room policy if necessary
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Inventory and/or warehouse experience
Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel
High school diploma or equivalent
Hazardous materials knowledge preferred
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge preferred
Food Safety and Defense/HAACP knowledge preferred
Knowledge and ability to work with bar code scanner preferred
Organization and time management skills
Reliable and punctual
Able to pass pre-employment screenings
