The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring products are properly received, stored, picked, and tracked throughout the warehouse. This position supports daily warehouse operations by monitoring inventory accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining organized inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, count, and properly put away incoming inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages.
Pick, pack, stage, and move products as needed to support fulfillment operations.
Ensure products are properly labeled, organized, and stored in designated locations.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential shortages or issues to management.
Process inventory adjustments and transfers accurately.
Assist with receiving, shipping, returns, and order fulfillment activities.
Follow company procedures for inventory control, safety, and quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Work closely with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, or logistics experience preferred.
Experience using a WMS, ERP, or inventory tracking system is a plus.
Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter data.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to perform repetitive counting and inventory-related tasks accurately.
Ability to lift, move, and handle products throughout the warehouse.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
