General Description

JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN INVENTORY SPECIALIST

This role involves responsible work in the operation of a moderate to large size warehouse.

Essential Job Functions

Receives and properly stores a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks. Enters requisitions and receipt of supplies into a computerized inventory system. Performs daily cycle counts. Purchases, receives, secures, and issues non-stock items. Assists in quarterly and year end inventory counts. Ability to operate small to medium sized forklifts and small to large sized trucks. Performs repairs of small tools. Maintains a clean and safe storeroom and work area, including outside yard/property. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Performs related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of warehousing methods and procedures.
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with a large and complex computerized inventory system.
  • Ability to keep inventory and stock control records and to prepare reports.
  • Ability to operate computer terminal to maintain inventory and stock control.
  • Ability to operate small to medium sized forklifts and small to large sized trucks.
  • Ability to repair small tools, such as saws, weed eaters, pressure washers, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Minimum Requirements

PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. Ability to climb, bend, stoop, walk, and squat frequently. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Ability to climb a flight of stairs.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. One (1) year of experience in warehousing which includes inventory and record keeping.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida drivers license.
