A healthcare facility is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inventory & Supply Technician to support receiving, inventory management, supply distribution, stocking, and daily supply chain operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with no weekends.
Position Summary
The Inventory & Supply Technician is responsible for receiving, stocking, transporting, and distributing supplies throughout the facility. This position plays an important role in ensuring clinical teams have the materials and supplies needed to provide high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable handling inventory, deliveries, stock rotation, documentation, and communication with multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, process, stock, and distribute supplies accurately and efficiently
Process returns to vendor and returns to backup stock as needed
Deliver supplies to appropriate departments in a timely manner
Transport and deliver approved medical supplies, non-prescription items, contrast media, drug-containing devices, and other supply chain materials as assigned
Receive expedited deliveries and accurately enter receiving information into the inventory system
Receive cross-docked items into the inventory system
Review and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for storeroom safety stock
Place supply orders appropriately based on inventory needs
Count par level and point-of-use areas according to schedule
Ensure point-of-use items have the correct barcodes
Perform quality assurance checks on totes and supply deliveries
Rotate stock in point-of-use areas and backup storeroom areas to prevent expired or outdated items
Assist staff with supply needs and inventory-related questions
Review after-hours logs for charges and help identify ways to prevent recurring issues
Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage and supply areas
Follow all safety, privacy, and compliance requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous stock clerk, warehouse, inventory, supply chain, logistics, or customer service experience preferred
Healthcare supply chain or hospital inventory experience preferred
Basic computer skills and ability to enter information accurately into inventory systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift, move, stock, and transport supplies as required by the role
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
HIPAA training and/or a current HIPAA certificate is required
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all privacy, safety, and compliance requirements in a healthcare environment
