Inventory Yard Manager

The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the yard, ensuring materials, equipment, and inventory are organized, maintained, and readily available. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with drivers, warehouse personnel, and customers to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily yard operations and maintain an organized, safe work environment.
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and quality.
• Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of materials and equipment.
• Schedule and prioritize deliveries, pickups, and yard activities.
• Supervise yard personnel and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding deliveries and inventory.
• Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in yard management, warehouse operations, or a related field.
• Required to be Bilingual (English/Spanish). 
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other equipment.

Pay & Benefits

• Pay: $22.00 per hour
• Schedule: Full-time
• Pay Frequency: Weekly
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Location: Grand Prairie, TX
