The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering or science field
  • Two (2) years of electrical module assembly experience
  • Understanding of electrical module DFM requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of developing engineering specifications for assembly processes
  • Good written and communication skills.

Our preferred requirements:

  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of inverter manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of laser welding and selective soldering processes
  • Project management and risk management skills

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $65,100-$109,300., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate''s skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

What you will be able to do:

eDrive Inverter Industrialization/Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and documenting the key inverter assembly processes as well as supporting the tier 1 inverter assembler with implementing the inverter assembly processes for production. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and documenting inverter manufacturing and assembly processes (i.e. laser welding, PCBA soldering, etc.)

  • Develop and maintain engineering specifications for the inverter assembly

  • Support tier 1 inverter assembler with adapting inverter assembly processes toward mass production

  • Contribute toward decision making of tier 1 inverter assembler production equipment selection

  • Prototyping manufacturing tools and fixtures to aid in the inverter assembly process

  • Support tier 1 inverter assembler with developing/creating manufacturing tools and fixtures for production

  • Conduct DOEs to prove out inverter manufacturing and assembly processes

  • Maintain and procure parts to develop prototype manufacturing tools/fixtures
