As an Investigative Analyst Operations Analyst you will Serve as primary expert liaison with the Department of the Treasury Office of the Inspector General OIG Office of the Chief Counsel and with other Federal State and local law enforcement offices. Also serve as expert liaison to other Federal Program Agencies regarding potentially fraudulent payment matters.
Perform data analysis regarding check claims altered and counterfeit U.S. Treasury checks mobile banking fraud and ACH transactions.
Track identify and document patterns and fraud trends for referral to respective enforcement agencies.
Serve as communications link between post payment operations investigative entities and Federal Program Agencies.
Understand unique indicators of potential fraud and translate into actionable case for referral to investigative entities.
Provide fact witness testimony on behalf of investigative and legal entities as to payment issuance process and subsequent post payment processes.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public private sector or volunteer service. Specialized Experience
For the GS-13 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as - Conducting analytical investigations or research using financial and program data to identify irregularities or potential fraud or emerging risks AND - Evaluating evidence developing investigative leads and performing pattern or link analysis to support case development or data or audits or enforcement actions AND - Prepare clear and defensible written reports and briefings that summarize investigative research findings and support recommendations to leadership or oversight entities.
In addition to the above requirements you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement if applicable For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
