About the Role

Our client is seeking an Investment Accountant to join a high-performing team responsible for supporting sophisticated investment portfolios and delivering critical financial reporting to institutional clients.

This position offers tremendous exposure to complex investment accounting, regulatory reporting, and portfolio analysis while working directly with experienced industry professionals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and interacting with clients and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Manage month-end investment accounting activities and related reconciliations.
• 
  
• Prepare investment reporting under STAT, GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory reporting standards.
• 
  
• Complete quarterly and annual Schedule D reporting.
• 
  
• Perform daily cash, trade, income, and portfolio reconciliations.
• 
  
• Research and resolve discrepancies with clients, custodians, and internal stakeholders.
• 
  
• Maintain portfolio performance reporting and track PIK activity.
• 
  
• Respond to client, auditor, and portfolio manager inquiries.
• 
  
• Support process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
• 
  
• Collaborate with team members to ensure reporting deadlines are met accurately and timely.
• 
  
• Build strong working relationships with clients, portfolio managers, and leadership teams.
• 
  
• Utilize technology and analytical tools to enhance workflow efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• 
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  
• Experience with investment accounting and financial reporting.
• 
  
• Knowledge of STAT, GAAP, IFRS, and Schedule D reporting.
• 
  
• Experience accounting for investment products such as:

  • Fixed Income Securities

  • Equities

  • Mutual Funds

  • Insurance Investments

• Strong reconciliation and financial analysis skills.
