The Team You'll Join

You will join Envestnet's PMC Research team, a collaborative group of investment professionals focused on delivering high-quality research and due diligence across asset classes, with a specialized emphasis on fixed income strategies.

This team partners closely to evaluate asset managers and investment products-including mutual funds, SMAs, and ETFs-providing data-driven insights and recommendations that support the broader business. You'll work alongside experienced analysts and senior research leaders, contributing to both qualitative and quantitative research efforts while building deep expertise within assigned asset classes.

How You'll Contribute

The Investment Analyst conducts qualitative and quantitative due diligence on asset management firms and their investment products, including mutual funds, separately managed account strategies and ETFs, to support Envestnet's business

  • Perform due diligence for assigned asset managers and their investment products, including mutual funds, separately managed account strategies and ETFs
  • Conduct research to become an expert on assigned asset class(es), including knowledge and understanding of the major performance drivers at any given time, who the largest players in the space are, general asset class limitations, and changes or innovations occurring within the asset management community
  • Active participation in manager meetings and phone/video conference interviews
  • Conduct data aggregation and quantitative analysis to provide insights and recommendations
  • Write various research reports and market commentaries and present investment recommendations to fellow team members
  • Conducting manager searches as needed
  • Keep up with investment themes and trends within assigned asset class(es)
  • Contribute to team projects and strategic business initiatives as assigned; may lead team projects as needed
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet''s established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk

What You'll Need to Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field

  • 1-3 years of asset manager research experience, preferably in fixed income

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills

  • Self-motivated and passionate about investing and financial markets

Nice-to-Haves

  • Progress towards CFA charter preferred

Our Investment in You

This role offers a base salary range of $94,600 to $118,300. The range listed represents a good-faith estimate of base salary compensation for this position and does not include incentive compensation, equity or benefits. Individual pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.  This role is eligible for an additional incentive component as part of the total rewards package.
