Title: Investment & Acquisitions Analyst
Office Status: Onsite Red Bank, NJ (5 Days/Week)
Compensation: $100, 000 $130, 000 Base + Performance Bonus
Overview:
A growing private equity investment firm focused on specialized real asset investments is seeking an Investment & Acquisitions Analyst to join its front-office investment team. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and hands-on involvement across the full transaction lifecycle, including underwriting, diligence, execution support, and portfolio analysis.
The position is ideal for a highly analytical finance professional with strong financial modeling capabilities, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial investment environment. Candidates coming from Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Banking, Leveraged Finance, Transaction Advisory, or other transaction-oriented finance backgrounds will find strong opportunity for accelerated development, increased responsibility, and long-term growth within a lean investment platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain complex financial models used to evaluate acquisitions, transaction structures, projected returns, and downside scenarios
Perform underwriting analysis, sensitivity testing, and risk assessment across prospective investment opportunities
Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and written recommendations for senior leadership and investment committee discussions
Support live transaction execution efforts including due diligence coordination, operating data analysis, and third-party diligence review
Analyze portfolio company performance, operating trends, and financial results to identify key business drivers and value creation opportunities
Interface directly with brokers, lenders, consultants, and other transaction stakeholders throughout the acquisition and diligence process
Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive intelligence related to new investment opportunities and sector trends
Assist with transaction pipeline management, internal reporting, and broader strategic initiatives across the investment platform
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams within a lean, highly visible environment
Ideal Background:
1 4 years of experience within Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Banking, Leveraged Finance, Transaction Advisory, Valuation, or a related analytical finance environment
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skill set
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear investment recommendations
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to take on meaningful responsibility within a growing investment platform
