About the Associate Role:

We are partnered with a leading middle-market investment bank is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its highly active Energy team in Dallas, Texas. About the Team:

The Energy team focuses primarily on M&A transactions, with additional exposure to debt advisory assignments. The group is led by senior bankers with deep sector expertise and maintains a strong reputation across the energy industry. As an Associate, you will work closely with senior leadership, including Managing Directors and Vice Presidents, while partnering with dedicated analyst resources to execute a robust pipeline of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions within the energy sector
• Build and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
• Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, and board-level deliverables
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction workflows
• Interact directly with clients, prospective clients, and transaction counterparties
• Mentor and oversee analysts throughout the deal process

Qualifications:

• Current 2nd or 3rd Year Investment Banking Analyst or 1st Year Investment Banking Associate
• Energy sector experience is strongly preferred, ideally within Exploration & Production (E&P) or a closely related energy vertical
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in Dallas
