Investment Banking Associate - Industrials & Business Services M&A | Minneapolis

Overview: We are representing a leading mid-market investment bank seeking an Associate to join their Industrials & Business Services coverage team in Minneapolis. This group advises a mix of private, public, and private equity-backed clients on M&A transactions across the mid-market landscape, with a strong and consistent deal pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Play an active role in the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions across Industrials and Business Services.
• Build and manage financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and other deal-related materials.
• Draft and refine client-facing materials, including pitch decks, CIMs, and management presentations.
• Support due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, legal counsel, and other transaction advisors.
• Partner closely with Vice Presidents and Managing Directors to help drive deal execution from start to close.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including sector research and pitch preparation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Analysts staffed on live deals.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of Investment Banking experience (A-to-A promote or MBA Associate), ideally with M&A deal exposure in Industrials or Business Services.
• Prior experience at a bulge bracket, elite boutique, or mid-market investment bank preferred.
• Strong technical skillset across financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Minneapolis, MN.
