Investment Banking Director

We are partnered with a leading middle-market investment bank seeking to hire an experienced Director to join its high-performing M&A team. The platform is quickly growing and known for its strong deal flow, collaborative culture, and strong prior heritgage. This group recently onboarded ex-Elite Boutique and Bulge Bracket bankers, and is looking to quickly expand their Directors ranks with path to Managing Director.

Ideal candidates are current Investment Banking Senior Vice Presidents and Investment Banking Directors with strong M&A execution reps, and are currently focused on leading M&A execution, business development, and networking (open to industry), to build up a book of business focused on mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, including managing deal timelines, coordinating diligence, and overseeing deliverables
• Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships with executives, sponsors, and key stakeholders
• Drive the development of marketing materials, including pitchbooks, CIMs, and management presentations
• Manage and mentor junior team members (Associates/VPs), ensuring high-quality analytical output and professional development
• Support senior leadership in origination efforts, including idea generation, market mapping, and client outreach
• Collaborate closely with Managing Directors on strategic initiatives and business development opportunities

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of Investment Banking experience, with a strong focus on M&A execution
• Proven track record of closing transactions and leading key workstreams
• Strong technical skillset across financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple live deals in a fast-paced environment
• Experience mentoring and developing junior bankers
• Excellent communication skills and client presence
