A middle-market investment bank, private capital advisory firm, or hybrid advisory platform may seek an Investment Banking & Private Capital Analyst to support M&A transactions, private capital raises, and investor engagement across private equity, growth equity, private credit, and family offices. This role is ideal for candidates seeking broad exposure to both deal execution and private capital markets, with direct interaction across sell-side and buy-side stakeholders.
Support M&A, minority investments, and private capital raising transactions
Build and maintain financial models, including operating models, DCFs, LBOs, and return analyses
Prepare pitch books, investment memoranda, and offering materials for both corporate clients and private investors
Conduct company, industry, and investor research across private equity, growth equity, and private credit
Assist with capital sourcing efforts, including investor targeting and outreach support
Support due diligence processes, data room management, and transaction execution
Analyze capital structures, valuation outcomes, and investor return profiles
Collaborate with senior bankers, private capital professionals, and execution teams across live mandates
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong interest in investment banking, private capital, and private markets
Solid skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deals and capital raises in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, corporate finance, or transaction advisory is a plus
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet)
