    Vice President - Investment Banking (Industrials)

    Location: Chicago, IL or New York, NY

    Overview

    A leading global financial services firm is seeking a Vice President to join its Investment Banking team focused on Industrials. This role offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role in executing strategic advisory and capital markets transactions for a diverse set of industrial clients.

    The VP will work closely with senior bankers, lead execution across live deals, and serve as a critical bridge between junior team members and senior leadership in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead execution of M&A transactions, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and structuring
    • Oversee development and review of financial models (DCF, LBO, comps, precedents) and transaction analyses
    • Manage preparation and delivery of client presentations, pitches, and marketing materials
    • Coordinate all aspects of deal execution, working with clients, legal counsel, and external advisors
    • Supervise and mentor Analysts and Associates, ensuring accuracy and high-quality output
    • Support senior bankers in client coverage, relationship management, and business development initiatives
    • Contribute to origination efforts, including idea generation and pitch development within Industrials
    • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and capital markets activity impacting Industrials sectors
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., capital markets, industry groups) to deliver holistic client solutions

    Qualifications

    • 5-8+ years of investment banking or relevant corporate finance experience, ideally with Industrials sector exposure
    • Proven experience leading transaction execution across M&A and/or capital markets deals
    • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skillset
    • Strong leadership capability with experience managing junior team members and workflows
    • Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines
    • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
