Key Responsibilities
Transaction Leadership & Execution
- Lead M&A advisory activities across the business services sector throughout all phases of the deal lifecycle
- Serve as a senior leader on transaction teams, overseeing the integrity of valuation analyses and financial models developed with Analysts and Associates
- Actively lead drafting sessions, due diligence meetings, and conversations with clients and counterparties
- Manage client communications and relationships in partnership with senior bankers
- Identify data trends and articulate their impact to internal and external stakeholders
Team Development & Mentorship
- Oversee and mentor Analysts and Associates on active transactions
- Lead the development of pitch materials and descriptive memoranda
- Balance delegation with collaboration to maximize junior banker development
- Lead by example through delivering accurate, thoughtful work product
Business Development & Firm Contribution
- Actively participate in new business development efforts and client presentations
- Contribute to junior banker training programs and firm-wide initiatives
- Engage in marketing, diversity, and community outreach efforts

The Role
Our client seeks an experienced Vice President to join their M&A team in New York. As a Vice President, you will be directly involved in the design, origination, structuring, and execution of M&A transactions, providing critical input on pitch and deal materials to enhance the ultimate deliverable to clients.

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Leadership & Execution
- Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry, and company research and analysis
- Draft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materials
- Lead financial modeling, valuation, and comparable/relative value analyses, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, LBO, and merger combination models
- Conduct and evaluate a broad range of corporate finance alternatives and due diligence for buy-side, sell-side, and other strategic advisory mandates
- Facilitate idea generation and solutions development across groups firmwide
Team & Client Development
- Develop and prepare client presentations and materials with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness
- Assist in the evaluation, preparation, due diligence, and execution of M&A transactions
- Assist in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years of investment banking, corporate finance, and M&A experience with a top-tier investment bank, OR an MBA concentrating in Finance with current Vice President (or equivalent) standing at a top-tier investment bank
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis
- M&A investment banking experience a strong plus
- Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Maturity and good judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Creativity and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work independently while remaining an effective team contributor
- Proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, and Microsoft Office
- Series 79 & 63 required
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $250K–$275K, based on relevant skills, training, experience, and education
