    Description

    Our Client, a global advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its Technology Investment Banking team in either New York or Charlotte. The Vice President will play a leadership role in the execution and origination of mergers & acquisitions and strategic advisory engagements across the technology sector, partnering closely with senior bankers, private equity sponsors, founders, and corporate clients.

    The role offers significant client interaction, transaction leadership, and exposure to a highly active middle-market technology platform with a strong presence across software, fintech, tech-enabled services, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, recapitalization, and strategic advisory assignments.
    • Manage all aspects of transaction processes, including due diligence, buyer outreach, process coordination, valuation analysis, and negotiation support.
    • Oversee the preparation of client presentations, marketing materials, financial models, valuation analyses, and board materials.
    • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, private equity investors, legal counsel, and other transaction stakeholders.
    • Work closely with Managing Directors and Directors on business development initiatives and client coverage efforts.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with private equity firms, strategic acquirers, and technology executives.
    • Mentor, train, and manage Analysts and Associates, ensuring high-quality execution and professional development.
    • Contribute to the continued growth of the Technology practice through sector expertise, market intelligence, and thought leadership.

    Qualifications

    • 5–8+ years of investment banking experience, including substantial M&A transaction execution experience.
    • Prior experience within a Technology, TMT, Software, FinTech, or Tech-Enabled Services investment banking practice.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously.
    • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
    • Strong understanding of software and recurring revenue business models.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
    • Proven leadership experience managing and developing junior bankers.
    • Bachelor's degree required.
