Our client, a leading international investment bank, is seeking a Vice President (VP1/VP2) level banker to join their Business & Tech-Enabled Services team in San Francisco. This established global firm operates across 24 locations throughout Asia, Europe, and the US, with over 750 professionals delivering tailored, independent advice across M&A, debt raisings and restructurings, private capital markets, and secondary advisory.
Their global Business & Tech-Enabled Services team operates across numerous industry segments, offering comprehensive sector coverage and insights alongside serving the M&A and capital raising needs of their clients.
As a Vice President, you will lead deal execution and play a central role in client management, business development, and team leadership across diverse Business & Tech-Enabled Services verticals, with significant transaction ownership and direct client accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end execution of M&A advisory transactions and debt raisings, overseeing deal teams and timelines
- Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, managing relationships and communications throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Oversee the preparation and review of confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials
- Direct the development and review of complex financial analyses and valuation models, ensuring accuracy and strategic soundness
- Drive sector-specific and company due diligence processes
- Cultivate and expand relationships with senior bankers, corporate clients, private equity firms, and strategic investors
- Support origination and business development efforts, including pitch preparation and the development of new client opportunities
- Mentor, train, and manage Associates and Analysts, providing guidance and performance feedback
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
- Significant investment banking experience with Business & Tech-Enabled Services M&A track record (strong preference for closed deals)
- Demonstrated ability to lead transaction execution and manage deal teams
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation analysis expertise in Excel
- Relevant FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 63, Series 79)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Team leadership capabilities with a collaborative, team-oriented work style
- Current or recent Business & Tech-Enabled Services sector experience strongly preferred

- Deep experience across Business & Tech-Enabled Services sub-sectors (BPO, IT services, software-enabled services, data/analytics, etc.)
