Investment Operations Associates support investment teams by managing operational workflows, monitoring portfolio activity, and ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation. The role combines financial analysis, operations management, and reporting to maintain efficient investment processes.
Associates collaborate closely with portfolio managers, fund accountants, and external service providers to execute transactions, process valuations, and prepare investor and regulatory reports.
Assist with the processing of investments, redemptions, and transfers across various asset classes
Reconcile portfolio positions, cash balances, and performance data
Support fund accounting, NAV calculations, and investor reporting
Maintain operational dashboards, data models, and analytical tools for investment insights
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (fund administrators, custodians, auditors)
Ensure compliance with investment guidelines, fund agreements, and regulatory requirements
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Prepare ad-hoc analyses, reporting packages, and presentations for senior management
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Understanding of investment operations, fund administration, and portfolio management processes
Experience or coursework in private equity, hedge funds, private credit, or investment operations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or other analytical tools is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
