Investment Operations Mentors are a key tier of our ecosystem—providing high-touch operational and strategic guidance to fund managers, deal sponsors, and analysts while benefiting from earning opportunities and enhanced credibility across our network.

Role Overview

Initio Sphere is onboarding Investment Operations Mentors to provide operational leadership, transaction oversight, and capital-market guidance to fund managers, investors, and deal sponsors.

This is not a traditional employment role. Mentors operate as independent contractors, activated through a verification and approval process.

Once approved, Mentors:

• Advise on fund operations, deal execution, capital raising, and strategic investment processes

• Mentor analysts and deal scouts, building internal capacity and credibility

• Access curated deal flow, earning opportunities, and platform-driven exposure

• Build a verified Mentor Track Record within the ecosystem

This role is ideal for experienced operators, ex-investment bankers, fund managers, or senior consultants with a proven record of leading investments, scaling operational functions, or executing complex capital transactions.

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Approved Mentors may:

• Guide fund managers on operational strategy, capital structuring, and LP engagement

• Support deal sponsors with transaction execution, diligence oversight, and negotiation strategy

• Mentor analysts and deal scouts on financial modeling, diligence, and operational execution

• Provide portfolio advisory services, operational insights, and value creation guidance

• Facilitate curated introductions with institutional investors or co-investors

Mentors focus on high-level operational guidance, transaction oversight, and mentorship, rather than day-to-day administrative tasks unless specifically approved.

Eligible Advisory Areas

• Fund operations, formation, and LP communications

• Deal structuring, investment committee support, and transaction strategy

• Operational or portfolio company advisory

• Mentorship and technical training for analysts and scouts

• Investor relations and network strategy

Approval is granted based on experience, track record, and demonstrated ability to advise on real transactions and operational execution.

Compensation & Deal Economics

• Mentors are independent contractors

• Hourly rates: $200–$500, based on experience, track record, and engagement scope

• Transaction-based incentives may be earned for advisory on closed deals

• Payments issued after successful completion of advisory milestones or deal closure

• No cap on earning potential for consistent high-value contributions

How Mentors Get Activated

1. Submit an application detailing background, operational experience, and deal history

2. Complete verification and category approval

3. Get promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

4. Begin working with funds, sponsors, and analysts on approved engagements

This ensures selectivity, credibility, and direct access to real opportunities.

Compliance Notice

Mentors do not:

• Provide investment advice to the public

• Solicit securities

• Market investments outside of approved channels

• Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity

All advisory work must comply with applicable securities laws and focus on operational guidance, mentoring, and deal support.
