About Initio Sphere

Initio Sphere is a private capital ecosystem where capital meets talent. We connect fund managers, investors, operators, and analysts through live deal flow, institutional operating frameworks, and curated relationships.

Investment Operations Mentors are a senior advisory tier within the ecosystem—experienced professionals who guide funds and sponsors on operational infrastructure, governance, reporting, and post-investment execution, while mentoring analysts and operators on institutional best practices.

Role Overview

Initio Sphere is onboarding Investment Operations Mentors to support fund managers, sponsors, and investment teams with operational strategy, fund mechanics, and execution discipline across the investment lifecycle.

This is not a traditional employment role. Mentors operate as independent contractors, activated through a selective verification and approval process.

Once approved, Investment Operations Mentors:

  • Advise funds on operational setup, governance, and ongoing investment operations

  • Support sponsors with post-close execution, reporting, and portfolio oversight

  • Mentor analysts and deal scouts on fund operations and investment lifecycle mechanics

  • Access curated advisory engagements and transaction-linked earning opportunities

  • Build a verified Operations Mentor Track Record within the Initio Sphere ecosystem

This role is ideal for professionals who have run funds, managed portfolios, or built institutional operating systems, not just executed deals.

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Approved Investment Operations Mentors may:

  • Advise fund managers on operational infrastructure, controls, and workflows

  • Support fund launches with operational readiness, service provider coordination, and governance design

  • Guide post-investment processes including reporting, monitoring, and portfolio reviews

  • Assist sponsors with operational diligence, integration planning, and execution oversight

  • Mentor analysts and deal scouts on fund mechanics, reporting standards, and operational best practices

  • Provide insights on scalability, compliance readiness, and institutional expectations

Mentors focus on operational leadership, oversight, and mentorship—not day-to-day accounting or administrative execution unless explicitly approved.

Eligible Advisory & Mentorship Areas

  • Fund operations and investment lifecycle management

  • Portfolio monitoring, reporting, and performance frameworks

  • Governance, controls, and operational risk oversight

  • Operational diligence and post-close execution strategy

  • Analyst and deal scout mentorship in fund and investment operations

  • Service provider coordination (administrators, auditors, legal)

Approval is granted based on demonstrated operational experience and institutional-grade judgment.

Compensation & Deal Economics

  • Independent contractor engagement

  • Hourly rates: $200–$500, based on experience, scope, and operational complexity

  • Transaction-based incentives available for advisory tied to successful closes or milestones

  • Payments issued upon completion of advisory milestones or fund events

  • No cap on earning potential for consistent, high-value operational contributions

How Investment Operations Mentors Get Activated

  1. Submit an Operations Mentor application with background and operational track record

  2. Complete verification and operational category approval

  3. Receive platform promotion and engagement matching

  4. Begin working with funds, sponsors, and analysts on approved operational engagements

This process ensures credibility, quality, and alignment with real operational needs.

Compliance Notice

Investment Operations Mentors do not:

  • Provide investment advice to the public

  • Solicit securities

  • Market investments outside approved channels

  • Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity

All work must comply with applicable securities laws and focus on operational guidance, mentorship, and investment support.

Who This Role Is For

  • Former or current fund COOs, CFOs, or senior operations leaders

  • Senior PE, VC, private credit, or real asset operations professionals

  • Experienced operators who have managed portfolio oversight and reporting

  • Advisors who can mentor analysts on institutional operations and execution

Why Join Initio Sphere

  • Direct access to fund managers and active investment platforms

  • One platform for operational advisory, capital exposure, and long-term growth
