A leading investment firm, private equity group, or corporate development team may seek an Investment Opportunity Analyst to support investment evaluation, financial modeling, and portfolio assessment. This role is ideal for candidates interested in deal analysis, market research, and strategic investment decision-making.
Conduct financial analysis and valuation of potential investment opportunities using 3-statement, DCF, LBO, and scenario models
Perform industry research, market benchmarking, and competitor analysis to identify high-potential investments
Support sourcing and evaluation of deals in venture capital, private equity, or corporate investment portfolios
Prepare investment memoranda, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and investment committees
Assist in due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and strategic reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment decision-making and transaction execution
Monitor and track the performance of investments post-transaction, providing insights and recommendations
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis
Excellent analytical, research, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple investment opportunities and workstreams in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or consulting is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools
