Lower middle-market private equity firms within our network may seek analytically strong Investment Opportunity Analysts to support the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of potential investment opportunities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Investment Opportunity Evaluation & Analysis

  • Review inbound and proprietary investment opportunities against firm investment criteria

  • Conduct preliminary financial analysis, including revenue quality, margin structure, and growth drivers

  • Build and maintain high-level operating and transaction models (3-statement, DCF, and LBO as applicable)

  • Analyze returns, capital structures, and downside scenarios to assess investment attractiveness

Deal Screening & Market Research

  • Perform initial screening of potential transactions to determine strategic and financial fit

  • Analyze business models, unit economics, KPIs, and competitive positioning

  • Conduct industry, sector, and market research to support investment theses

  • Track deal flow, opportunity status, and screening outcomes

Due Diligence Support

  • Support financial, commercial, operational, and legal diligence workstreams

  • Synthesize diligence findings and identify key risks and value-creation opportunities

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors during evaluation phases

Investment Committee Support

  • Prepare screening summaries, investment memos, and presentation materials

  • Clearly communicate analysis, assumptions, and recommendations

  • Present data-backed perspectives on risks, opportunities, and return drivers

Portfolio & Transaction Support

  • Assist with performance tracking and KPI dashboards for portfolio companies

  • Support analysis for add-on acquisitions, refinancing initiatives, and exit planning

  • Contribute to strategic and financial initiatives across active investments
