Position Overview

The firm is seeking an Associate, Investor Relations & Marketing to join its San Francisco-based team. This role is central to supporting fundraising initiatives, investor communications, client service, and marketing efforts across the firm's private market investment strategies.

The position offers significant exposure to institutional investors, fundraising activities, investment reporting, and strategic business development initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams while helping maintain strong relationships with a sophisticated global investor base.

Primary Responsibilities

Investor Relations & Client Service

  • Manage investor relationships by providing timely, professional, and high-quality responses to investor inquiries and requests.
  • Support preparation for investor and prospective investor meetings, including presentations, briefing materials, and follow-up communications.
  • Manage investor due diligence processes, virtual data rooms, and information requests.
  • Coordinate and contribute to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs).
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting deliverables.
  • Collaborate with investment, finance, legal, and external service providers to address investor requests and ensure accurate communications.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems, investor records, fundraising pipelines, and reporting databases.

Marketing & Communications

  • Assist in the development of investor-facing materials, including quarterly letters, annual meeting presentations, webinars, fundraising presentations, and marketing collateral.
  • Support content management for the firm's website, thought leadership publications, and social media channels.
  • Contribute to the preparation and updating of fund marketing and offering materials.
  • Help execute marketing initiatives and strategic communication efforts for existing and prospective investors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in investor relations, asset management, venture capital, private equity, fundraising support, institutional sales, or a related financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of venture capital, private equity, alternative investments, and private fund structures preferred.
  • Professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, CPA) or an advanced degree (MBA or Master's) are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, client-service-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with private fund reporting, including capital account statements and audited financial statements, is preferred.
