Job Description

Our client, an investment management company, is seeking an Investor Relations Intern to support their New York office. This internship offers exposure to shareholder communications, financial reporting cycles, and institutional investor relationship management within a fast-paced capital markets environment.

The intern will work directly with the investor relations team to prepare materials for quarterly earnings calls, maintain investor databases, and assist with the coordination of annual meetings. This role is well suited for a student or recent graduate interested in finance, communications, or capital markets.

This is a paid internship with a defined project scope and the opportunity to present findings to senior leadership at the conclusion of the term.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing quarterly earnings presentations and investor decks
  • Maintain and update the investor contact database
  • Help coordinate logistics for investor meetings and annual shareholder events
  • Research industry trends and competitor investor relations practices
  • Draft summaries of analyst reports and market commentary
  • Support the distribution of press releases and financial disclosures
  • Track investor inquiries and route them to appropriate team members
  • Compile data for internal reporting on shareholder engagement metrics

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, communications, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and capital markets
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Interest in investor relations, corporate finance, or asset management
  • Available to work on-site in New York for the duration of the internship
