Do you have a passion for supporting a customer"s mission? Do you enjoy untangling complex contract funding structures and turning them into clean, compliant invoices? Do you love finding process gaps and building solutions to fix them? If so, come join a diverse team focused on ensuring AWS delivers on contractual invoicing requirements in support of critical public sector missions.

The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Invoicing team is looking for an Invoicing Compliance Analyst (ICA) to support some of AWS"s largest and most complex public sector contracts. You"ll own the end-to-end invoicing process for assigned contracts - from data extraction and validation through submission and reconciliation - while implementing controls that reduce risk and improve accuracy.

This role sits at the intersection of federal finance, government contracting, and technical problem-solving. You"ll regularly engage with internal AWS teams and directly with customers to design process and technical solutions that ensure invoicing compliance. A successful candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate competing requirements across multiple stakeholders.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own monthly invoice generation, validation, and submission for assigned customer contracts
  • Extract raw usage and financial data from business databases and data warehouses to produce actionable reporting
  • Resolve invoicing-related discrepancies and questions from customers and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with contracting officers, program managers, and internal AWS teams to ensure funding alignment with customer requirements
  • Design and implement automation to reduce manual effort in financial reporting and data analysis
  • Respond to data calls and inquiries from program management offices and service teams
  • Ensure timely and accurate tracking of accounts and contract funding status

A day in the life

You"ll manage monthly invoicing cycles and engage directly with federal customers and the program team to resolve billing issues and align on contract requirements. Between customer touch points, you"ll hunt for process gaps and build automations that eliminate manual work across finance, contracts, and technical teams.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
