    Salary Range

    $50,000–$75,000 annually


    The IONM Fellowship begins at a $50,000 annual salary. Salary increases are tied to successful completion of designated training, competency, and sign-off milestones throughout the fellowship. As fellows progress through the program and demonstrate increased clinical competency and independence, their salary will increase, with the opportunity to reach $75,000 annually upon completion of the required milestones and fellowship program.


    Neurophysiology Fellow | IONM Technologist in Training

    General Summary:

    The Intraoperative Neurophysiology (IONM) Fellow is an entry-level position at NW Monitoring. The IONM Fellow participates in an education and training program designed to prepare them for a career as an IONM Technologist at NWM facilities in accordance with NWM policies and procedures.


    The IONM Fellow will perform IONM procedures appropriate to their level of competence, including test setup, electrode application, maintaining patient safety, and other related duties. Strong, well-developed communication skills are essential for this position.


    During IONM procedures for which competency has not yet been achieved, the Fellow trains under direct technical supervision¹. Once training is completed and all required competencies have been achieved, the IONM Fellow works under indirect technical supervision.


    Minimum Requirements

    • Credential in electroencephalography (R. EEG T) and/or a credential in evoked potentials (R. EP T); OR
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with 6 months or more of patient care experience preferred


    Education

    • Currently enrolled in the NW Monitoring Education Program; OR
    • Currently enrolled in a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)-accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program

    Job Duties

    • Participate in and successfully graduate from the enrolled education program
    • Participate in required training, competencies, and clinical sign-offs
    • Perform IONM studies in accordance with national standards and NWM protocols
    • Take call as directed and respond to emergency call
    • Cross-train in other modalities and regions as needed
    • Support other regions when necessary
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested to support the timely operation of the region and organization


    Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries

    • BLS certification required
    • CNIM certification through ABRET required within 12 months of becoming a Technologist I
