If you are an experienced IOP Addiction Counselor who is innovative, patient‑centered, and solution‑focused, we want you on our team.ResponsibilitiesMonday - Friday, 5:30 am – 1:30 pmDevelop a treatment alliance with patients that is mutual, collaborative, and individualized, meeting changing clinical needs throughout treatmentFacilitate addiction treatment groups in the IOP and OP levels of carePrepare and present addiction‑/recovery education presentations to all patientsEngage in case‑management sessions, including assessments, collaborative treatment goals, discharge planning, partnership with referral sources and/or other providersPromote the organization's image in a positive and professional mannerProvide direct care up to 55 % of weekly work hours depending on program and positionWork with the treatment team to meet the co‑occurring psychiatric needs of patientsCoordinate care for all appropriate support services, including referral sources, family members, and other support providersMaintain timely and well‑written documentation that meets state and CARF standardsDemonstrate commitment to excellent patient care, measured through clinical outcomes such as retention, attendance, successful completion, transition from IOP to OP, and goal attainmentObtain signatures from licensed therapist/supervisor for documents requiring a second signature when applicableProvide evaluations for substance use disorders using DSM‑V and ASAM level‑of‑care criteriaDemonstrate experience with Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma‑informed care approachesEmbodies the spirit of a teacher, continually demonstrating positive energy that promotes addiction recovery education and learning in and out of group/individual sessionsAttend and be prepared for professional meetings, including the treatment teamOther duties as assignedQualificationsStrong clinical, verbal, and writing skillsEngaging with patients while promoting accountabilityFlexible and creative team playerVersatility, flexibility, and willingness to work in a program that will grow over the next several yearsMinimum of 2 years' experience in the SUD field; group‑treatment experience preferred but not requiredExperience and comfort working with an electronic medical recordKnowledgeable and well‑versed in various recovery modalities including SMART Recovery, Women for Sobriety, 12‑Step, Recovery Dharma, Harm Reduction, etc.If in recovery from a substance use disorder, minimum 3 years of continuous sobriety required; five years preferredLicenses and Other Required CredentialsADT, CSC‑AD, or CAC‑AD, CADC in MarylandWe OfferCompetitive compensationCompany‑paid clinical supervisionFull benefits: Medical/Dental/VisionLife insurance401(k)Tuition reimbursementPaid professional development timeStudent loan repayment programPaid vacation timeAnd moreThe pay range for this position is $25 to $33 per hour.
