Join the team to see what else is possible!DescriptionThe tvOS Communications Experiences team works on code in FaceTime, Camera, tvOS, and iOS to bring FaceTime and other camera experiences to the big screen using a wirelessly connected iPhone or iPad. Engineers on the tvOS Communications Experiences team work closely with cross-functional teams at Apple to deliver a magical and delightful experience connecting friends and families across the world. The role is highly rewarding with ample opportunities for growth and connections across the company. In this role, you will be working on the Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad FaceTime app as well as the underlying iOS and tvOS systems. You will be responsible for proposing, implementing, and presenting features to move communications and camera experiences forward on Apple TV. You will champions the high bar for quality and consistency of Apple software with a passion for building experiences that bring people together.Minimum QualificationsStrong at object-oriented programming and design with 3+ years experienceAptitude to working on frameworks and APIs with 3+ years experienceExperience developing on Apple platforms with 3+ years of experienceExcel at communicating with a diverse team that includes engineers, designers, program managers and evangelistsUnbridled attention to detailExperience in writing multi-threaded, asynchronous codeDebugged performance problems, able to root out performance bottle-necks and shipped code that was optimized to get the most out of the limited cpu and memory resources availableLove the idea of ownership and care deeply about end user experiencesAptitude to independently learn new technologiesBachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience maintaining existing large codebasePerformance debugging experiencePay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
