iOS Software Engineer - Video Applications

The Video Applications team continues this legacy, shipping best-in-class video products including Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, iMovie, and more. Were looking for a strong senior software engineer to help develop these applications and deliver the next generation of features that empower creative professionals worldwide. As a Software Engineer on the Video Applications team, youll design and implement high-quality features that directly impact millions of creative professionals. Youll tackle complex technical challenges across our video editing applications, working with cutting-edge frameworks and technologies on both iOS and macOS. Collaborating closely with engineers across the Video Apps teams, youll contribute to initiatives that push the boundaries of whats possible in professional video editing on Apple devices.Designing, implementing, and shipping features that solve complex technical challenges

Writing clean, well-tested code that sets the standard for quality and maintainability

Participating in and contributing to architecture discussions and code reviews

Working closely with cross-functional partners to define and implement features that delight our customersBS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

3+ years of software engineering experience with SwiftUI/Swift or UIKit/AppKit

3+ years of proven experience working with Objective-C

Strong understanding of software engineering and computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms

Track record of technical excellence, exemplifying "what good looks like" in code, documentation, and engineering practices

Proven ability to break down large features into practical, implementable solutions

Experience working on large, cross-functional, multi-team projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a highly collaborative environment

Self-directed problem solver who can work independently and drive initiatives to completionCustomer focus and ability to make high-quality, user-centric product and technical decisions

Experience creating and refining APIs for adoption by other teams and developers

GENUINE PASSION FOR PROFESSIONAL CREATIVE TOOLS AND WORKFLOWS Familiarity with video editing, media processing, or graphics programming!
