Overview
Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an IP Docketing Specialist to join its Intellectual Property team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the firm''s intellectual property practice by maintaining accurate docket records, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring the timely processing of intellectual property-related actions. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting patent, trademark, copyright, domain name, and IP litigation matters in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and will be committed to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
A Day in the Life
This position is responsible for reviewing and triaging high-volume correspondence from clients, foreign counsel, and intellectual property offices, routing correspondence as appropriate, and analyzing materials to docket new actions and update existing matters. The IP Docketing Specialist will maintain accurate docket records, monitor critical deadlines, review docket reports, process docket clearance and de-docketing requests, and support file transfers and matter maintenance activities. This role also works closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative professionals to identify and resolve data discrepancies, ensure the accuracy of information within the firm''s docketing system, and support reporting, auditing, and data quality initiatives. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Salary/Wage Range: $71,000 - $89,000 annually. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for merit-based salary increases and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
